South Texas Emergency Care Foundation, Inc. in South Texas, Paramedic and EMS Service

South Texas Emergency Care Foundation, Inc. (the “Foundation”) is a nonprofit organization which provides fixed wing air and ground ambulance services to portions of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas primarily including communities and unincorporated areas in Cameron County. The Foundation has contracts to provide ambulance transport and emergency medical services in the cities and towns of Harlingen, La Feria, Palm Valley, Primera, Rio Hondo, Santa Rosa, San Benito, and Combes as well as the unincorporated areas of Cameron County included in Zones 2 and 4 on the Cameron County Emergency Services District No. 1’s Official Ambulance Service Zone Map. Each of these governmental entities served by the Foundation, as well as a number of community individuals, are members of the Foundation. The Foundation is operated by its members through a board of directors consisting entirely of its individual members and representatives of its governmental entity members.

Community Service Programs-Tours of EMS

The Foundation provides public education programs for schools, civic groups and other organizations. Programs and tours of the EMS facilities and MedCom Communications Center are available.
